• O𝜋e\n has a mission to interconnect Greek Tech ecosystem and make Greece a strategic destination for companies, hubs, universities, communities and VCs.​
• O𝜋e\n Hackathon mission stems from O𝜋e\n mission and directly supports its’ goals.​
• In brief O𝜋e\n Hackathon mission is connect – try – innovate with a purpose.​
• The Goals are:​
• To manifest and showcase innovative ideas, built with cutting-edge technologies, towards a meaningful purpose​
• To be a safe place to experiment with ideas and technologies​
• To encourage collaboration and healthy competition​
• To connect experts, enthusiasts, and newcomers with organizations and VCs​

The Theme​

And our inspiration​

• On June 28th 2025, EU countries need to implement the “EU Accessibility act” which aims to have more accessible products and services for persons with disabilities, among other improvements.​
• This was our inspiration to orchestrate an O𝜋e\n Hackathon with the theme “Innovate for Accessibility”​
• We shall focus on specific challenges within the broader accessibility area​
• Use of AI to create apps is the main pillar of the Hackathon​

O𝜋e\n Hackathon

Identity

• Non-profit / Organized by volunteers.​
• ~20 teams / ~100 people competing at the Hackathon​
• Have ~20 subject matter experts as judges and mentors​
• Pre-Hackathon workshops​
• Getting consultation from Accessibility experts​

Who we are​

• A Team of engaged volunteers that organize one of the biggest tech events in Greece -O𝜋e\n conf- since 2019 with more than 600 attendees, 20 sponsors, 20 speakers​
• We executed a stellar Hackathon with 11 teams last November.2024, along with O𝜋e\n conf​
• Currently forming a nonprofit company (AMKE)​
• We are employed in various tech companies across Greece and abroad​
